This Privacy Policy describes how PlanLexa: Student Planner ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App on iOS, Android, or the web. If you have questions, contact us at softwaredesign70@gmail.com.
1. Information We Collect
a. Account information
If you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — used to authenticate you and recover your account.
- Password — stored only as a salted hash; we never see your plaintext password.
Account data is handled by Supabase, our authentication and database provider.
b. Content you create
The App stores the data you create inside it, including:
- Tasks, subjects, schedules, and exams
- Grades and study session history
- Pomodoro / focus timer logs
- Flashcards and study decks
- Achievements and XP
This data is stored in your Supabase user account so you can sync it across devices. It is only accessible to you through your login.
c. Device and usage data (advertising)
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:
- Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS — both resettable by you)
- Device model, OS version, language, coarse location (country / region)
- Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks)
This data is used by Google to serve more relevant ads and to measure ad performance. See Google's privacy policy and AdMob policies.
You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" (or "Opt out of Ads Personalization")
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
d. Locally stored data
The App uses local storage (AsyncStorage on mobile, localStorage on web) to remember your session and preferences (theme, font, language). This data never leaves your device.
2. How We Use Information
We use the data above to:
- Provide the core App features (sync your planner across devices, persist your progress)
- Authenticate you and keep your session active
- Display advertising (through AdMob)
- Diagnose crashes and improve reliability
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sharing
We share information only with the third parties needed to run the App:
| Third party | What they receive | Why | Their policy |
